Ingredients
Good ol' H2O.
Derived from palm kernel oil, coconut, or corn syrup and used as a surfactant (cleanser) in the formula.
A natural cleanser which is derived from the fatty acids in coconut oil.
Made from coconut oil and glucose. It serves as a surfactant to help combine and stabilize the liquid and solid ingredients in the formula together.
Made from vegetable oil, it serves as a humectant which draws moisture to and helps reduce the loss of moisture from your skin.
Comes from oils that are high in oleic acid (fatty oils) like olive oil. It serves as an skin conditioner and emollient.
An emulsifier (helps mix the formula) that is derived from sugar, corn, and olive oil.
Made up of glycerol and caprylic acid, both of which are derived from palm or coconut oil and it’s used as an emulsifier and skin conditioning agent.
A ester of Glycerin (vegetable oil) and Undecylenic Acid (derived from castor oil) it serves as an emollient and also has antimicrobial properties.
Avocado oil has many skin benefits. It’s known to hydrate and nourish the skin and helps relieve pain and skin damage from sunburn, eczema and acne.
Extracted from the nuts of the Shea Tree and known to be very moisturizing for the skin as well as soothing and anti-inflammatory. Although it comes from a nut it is not an allergen.
Jojoba oil closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum so it absorbs quickly and deeply into the skin and protects the skin with long lasting hydration.
Baobab oil comes from the seeds of the African Adansonia tree, and is known to be highly penetrating and having excellent skin moisturizing properties.
A stabilizer and thickening agent which is made through the fermentation of corn syrup.
Grapefruit Oil is a relaxing oil that offers a slight natural fragrance.
A calming oil that comes from the bergamot orange and gives off a slight citrus fragrance.
Davana Oil is a calming oil with an herbal aromatic smell. It comes from a shrub called Artemisia Pallens.
Extracted from the bean/fruit of the vanilla plant, Vanilla planifolia. It gives the formula a fresh fragrance and it also soothing to the skin.
A sodium salt that comes from plant seeds. It is added to help stabilize and preserve the formula.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Our shampoo and body wash is PH balanced to make sure there is no irritation to your baby’s eyes. We also ran a “very scientific” test of dropping some shampoo into our own eyes to make sure we’re backing up this claim :)
You should still avoid direct contact with the eyes as soap can be drying to the eyes but if while you’re lathering some gets in the eyes it won’t be harmful or painful.
We use some natural oils like grapefruit and artemisia flower oil to give the shampoo a slight scent to leave your baby smelling fresh with a touch of nature. We would never use any chemical or synthetic fragrances, which are known to be harmful and irritate the skin.
Best time for bathing is usually before bed or in the morning, whenever your child plays outside and comes back covered in dirt, or when dinner goes down their shirt instead of in their mouth :) Just remember to pat dry your baby and not rub the towel on them. Their skin is soft and sensitive and they will appreciate the pat dry much more. You’ll just have to wait until they could talk to get your Thank You!
Soaps, specifically chemical ones, are known for stripping the skin from it’s natural oils which protect and keep it healthy. Our natural shampoo and body wash uses soft natural cleansers derived from coconuts to clean your baby’s hair and body while not stripping it of the essential inherent nutrients. We also have added hydrating and skin beneficial ingredients to make sure your baby’s skin is being protected and cared for in the best way possible.
There are different recommendations as to how often you should bathe your baby. We feel it’s best to leave that up to your own discretion or we would advise to follow the direction of your child’s health care provider.
Yes, all of our bottles and tubes can and should be recycled appropriately.
